ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗಷ್ಟೇ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ರಾಜಕಾರಣದ ವಿದ್ಯಾಮಾನ ಇಡೀ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಗಮನಸೆಳೆದಿತ್ತು. ಪಿ ಎಲ್ ಡಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಹುದ್ದೆಯ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯಷ್ಟೇ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ಮಹದೇವ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಹೃದಯಾಘಾತದಿಂದ ನಿಧನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರಿಂದ ತೆರವಾದ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ.
